at times an untruth is better than a truth...especially when feelings are involved... of course thats a matter of opinion...it depends on the individual.. remember the danger of truth at times when certain questions are asked...
"does this make me look fat?"
"you dont think im ugly do you?"
"am i a bad person?"
you get the idea....

white lies essentially are smaller less important lies generally designed to smooth over situations where the truth would offer no help or might even make matters worse...
